We don't just have conventional recipes either! Whether you're looking for tonight's dinner, the next bake sale hit, or even some wilderness comfort food, we have you covered!

Wilderness Potato Soup

For Two to Three People

To make prep easier, we recommend packaging the dry ingredients (except potato pearls, cheese, and bacon bits) together in a ziploc bag. 

​Ingredients

  1. ½ cup powdered milk

  2. 2 tbs. flour

  3. 2 tbs. dried onion

  4. 4 cups water

  5. ½ tsp. salt

  6. ½ tsp. pepper

  7. 1 tsp. oil (we recommend using olive oil packets!)

  8. ½ cup potato pearls

  9. 1 cup crumbled cheddar

  10. 1 tbs. bacon (or bacon-flavored TVP) bits

Optional: cayenne, hot sauce, bacon bits
 

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients except potato pearls and cheese into a pot. Bring to a boil, stirring often.

  2. Put potato pearls into a bowl and add enough of the hot soup to form a thin paste.

  3. Pour the paste back into the soup; stir.

  4. Then, add the cheese, stirring until melted.

  5. Top with the bacon bits/bacon-flavored TVP.

  6. If desired, spice it up with a dash of cayenne pepper or hot sauce!
